14th June, the most important date in one of my best friends' life. Ashraf (VJ, NTU, SIA scholar, tohari-someone-get-me-a-new-job-Paijan, aku makan dua)is getting married. Yup, that's right, getting married. I really admire him; honestly, if I had the money, I would get married too now! Anyway, i really admire him because he's sure of what he wants, and is bold enough to take this step.
Flashback to the last night of 'lepak-ing' for Sekapur Sireh before I left for Amsterdam. On a night where some Sireh members fell asleep in their jeans, some couldn't stay out too late, some brought their girlfriends along and thus had to return home early, some returned early to talk to their girlfriends, Ashraf was one the 3 (apart from me) that stayed on for the whole night; and thus became known as one of the trueblue2 (notice that even though there were 3 other people, the term trueblue2 instead of trueblue3 is used, all thanks to another inside joke courtesy of, who else, Mas'uud). So yup. This entry is for my trueblue2 friend.
If you're reading this, just say a little prayer in your heart, that insya Allah his wedding, and more importantly his marriage, will go smoothly. Let's wish him all the best for the new beginning in his life.
Apart from being a trueblue2 friend, Ashraf (or more affectionately known as Asrap) is also a fellow Holland supporter. Thus it's only right that I mention Holland's victory over France in this entry as well. (Haha.) Superb. Simply magnificent. The Dutch played oh-so-beautiful football, the way it should be played. 2 3-goal-margin victories over the 2 World Cup finalists, enough said.
I know I shouldn't count my chicks before they are hatched, but being a Newcastle supporter has taught me that if you don't count them when you can, you might never be able to! So yup. Campione, campione, ole ole ole. Haha. I was watching the match in a bar near my place, and i tell you, believe me when i say the atmosphere was magnificent. Amazing. The Dutch were singing that song too at half time, and of course after the final whistle. And I'm so damn glad that I'm in Holland right now, really. This is the best time to be in Holland since 1988.
A Dutch victory over the French (an emphatic one at that) and Ashraf's wedding (nikah today actually). A great day indeed.

Just wanna says a few words about our dear friend, Ashraf Khan (AKA aku bukan indian but pakistani)
Firstly, he is a great company to be with. Never took any jokes made on him seriously and does not keep anything at all to heart.
I also commend his perseverence to lepak with us when he was the ONLY VJC guy (plus luqman) while all of us are TPJCians.
He is definitely a guy the gang admires and will stay that way insyAllah for a very long time.
Finally, just wanna express my appreciation to this patient, capable, true friend of ours whose presence will always make our day better (well, maybe just most of the time).
Congrats ah Ashraf..Baarakallahu lak,wa baaraka 'alaika, wa jama 'a bainakuma fi khair...(Moga Allah memberkati untuk kamu,dan memberkati ke atas kamu, dan mengumpulkan kamu berdua dalam kebaikan). .btw,don't forget ya...2 bungkus nasi minyak...one to amsterdam..n..one to madinah..tapi...kalau ader milo dinosaur skali,Lagi Baik.

ooohhh. the dikir was fine i guess. suhairi juara, mas karut. jen as usual with the rebana. akmal best awok awok. haikal pakai baju cip penyamun. saiful with sweater and slipper tepok kaki sampai dagu. hafiz jap on the canang. fazli jaga dorang nye tone. so suara ok ah. i was there with the audiences. it was good lah i can say. well done guys... can do it again next time.

On a different note, might i add that I'm pretty confident Germany will whoop Portugal's candy a**. No doubt, Portugal has been playing better football, but Germany are best when odds are stacked against them.
Furthermore, Portugal look a little lightweight. Skillful, yes, but lightweight. I cannot imagine their midfield will come out top of the German's; just look at the size and style of play of the the aggressive Germans.
And Italy VS Spain? I've got only 1 thing to say to that; wooooooooo!

anyway now on to the more important topic: portugal germany!portugal's guile and skill will pull them thru i think. deco looks good plus podolski(germany's main source of goals)is suspended if im not mistaken kan? so my take on it is that germany will not repeat history and be the perennial cockroach anymore. its a portugal holland final!
btw russia played very well for the last game eh lid?amacam any thoughts on the holland russia match?
Holland Russia? I´m very wary of Guus man, he´s a master tactician. But it will be Holland to go through, and we´ll get opur revenge over Italy for Euro 2000.
And as for Germany, i hate to say this, but i told u so.
What a great comeback n determination by Turkey against Croatia! n a great dominating performance by Russia against Holland! I wont be surprised if it's Turkey vs Russia in the final!!
I won't be surprised too, though I'm thinking it will be Germany VS Russia. By the way, typical of Holland. Promise so much, deliver so little.
